With heartfelt gratitude for those who labor to proclaim gospel freedom, the aim of the 1521 conference is to nurture support and collaboration among ministries devoted to proclaiming the message of God’s radical grace.1521 grant recipients and ministry leaders will gather for presentations, discussions, and fellowship in a spirit of collaboration designed to strengthen existing bonds and foster new relationships.

Our Keynote Speaker

Dr. Steven Paulson

Dr. Steven Paulson is a distinguished theologian and Senior Fellow at 1517, hosting the popular podcasts Outlaw God and Preaching the Text.

 

Formerly a pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church, Washington Island, WI, Stephen has a rich academic background as a Professor of Systematic Theology at Concordia College, Luther Seminary, and Luther House of Study.

​

A prolific author, his influential works include Luther's Outlaw God, Lutheran Theology, and Luther for Armchair Theologians. Known for making complex theological concepts accessible, Stephen is a passionate advocate for the Gospel's liberating power.
